December 2024 saw the WISE community come together for an unforgettable summit in the heart of Hoedspruit. Hosted at the stunning Paris Bush Camp, the event was a perfect blend of learning, collaboration, and pure fun under the African sun.
A Look Back at 2025 & the Road Ahead
The summit kicked off with our AGM, where we reflected on a year of growth and success. We also welcomed new members into the WISE family:

Introducing WISE Connect!
A major highlight of the summit was the launch of WISE Connect – an exciting new platform designed to:
Connect members with mentors, industry leaders, and fellow professionals.
Provide access to training resources, job opportunities, and networking events.
Encourage collaboration and knowledge-sharing across the safari industry.
This platform will be a game-changer, making it easier than ever for women in safari to learn, grow, and support one another. Stay tuned for more updates as we roll out new features!

As we continue to uplift and empower women in the safari industry, a strong focus has been placed on skills development for the upcoming year:
- Basic Mechanics (Vehicles, Chainsaws)
- Trails Guide Qualification
- Track & Sign & Trailing
- Astronomy
- Birding Big Day
- Medicinal Plants
Serious Business… and Serious Fun!
While discussions were deep and meaningful, the WISE spirit was alive and well through a series of unforgettable moments.
Felicia & Felicity, the flamingo floaties, made their grand entrance in the heat of the day, providing much-needed refreshment and entertainment in the pool.
Cocktail competitions turned into an exciting battle of mixology skills, with members showing off their creative (and sometimes questionable!) drink-making talents.
The WISE Pub Quiz was nothing short of intense, bringing out the competitive streak in everyone and resulting in much laughter, debate, and perhaps some friendly rivalries.
A Feast to Remember – A massive thank you to Mr. T and the Bundu Kitchen, who kept us fuelled with incredible food throughout the summit. From bush breakfasts to delicious dinners, every meal was a highlight of the event.
